Comments
Comments: Several inches have fallen on the ridge since I hiked here Tuesday. The Mt. Hunger route sees enough traffic to stay packed but I snowshoed as I was bound for less visited White Rock Mtn.(3,160') after tagging Hunger's summit(3,539').The trail to White Rock is now broken out for snowshoes and very worthwhile thru spruce/fir with outcroppings to a rock crown summit sticking out of a granite shield. Blue blazes in good shape, if you don't see 'em you're off-trail. About a mile from summit to summit. Temp 12F, winds 15-20mph midday on the ridge, excellent visibility.
-Skyline Trail north from Mt. Hunger remains deep & unbroken.
