 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Mill Rd/County Road is much improved this spring. Irene must have caused enough damage that the crews got out and racked most of it up to the LT crossing. Last year driving a car would have been questionable-this year no problem. Parking for 4 cars at the LT crossing. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All very low for this time of year. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A moderate amount of winter damage this year-the beeches really took a beating. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Roy and Lyla had a great time. The first 3 miles is pretty dry but the last mile there's plenty of water. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Not a single one-too windy and cold. |

None (County Rd to Consultation Peak)
This was my spring visit to my section of the LT/AT. More work this year than in the past clearing winter damage as well as sprucing up blazes. Glad to have brought the chainsaw as it saw a lot of use today. Otherwise, trail in really good shape, drying nicely. Saw 2 groups of backpackers-one heading north and another southbound.
ATV'ers are accessing the little beaver pond at Roaring Branch from the southeast which is starting to turn this pretty spot into a bit of a trash heap. Next trip will require trashbags to remediate. |
