Had a beautiful day to complete my VT 3000' peaks. Headed up Sterling Pond Trail and went up Spruce Peak first, then followed the LT and did the short bushwhack to Morse Mtn. When I hiked the LT years ago, I had no knowledge of peakbagging, so I missed Morse. I also went up Whiteface Mtn because I really like that peak, especially the view to Mansfield. I returned the same route. Only saw a few people heading to and from Sterling Pond. This was also #443 and 444 / 457 of the NE 3k's. Just a few in Maine left to finish. |
