 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at the same spot as for Stone Mtn on Granby Rd. The land is posted along the road east of the pull off. I rode my bike 1 mile east until the signs stopped. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
I had to hop a stream near a beaver pond right after leaving Granby Rd. This could be tricky depending where you cross. I almost used the beaver dam but found a better way. |

The jar was missing but I happened to bring one so I put up a new register on the old shoestring. |

I decided to tackle this the steep way, descending down toward the beaver ponds, up through gentle open hardwoods, then climbing straight up the cliffs. The woods were actually great here, very little undergrowth. I found some nice framed views through the branches of Stone, Sheridan and Halibut to the south, and Cannon in the distance. After summiting and replacing the missing jar, I descended back to my truck which was a mile west of where I parked my bike. This route was not good. Lots of side-hilling along cliff bands because I descended too far south and had to get back over to avoid the beaver ponds and posted land. |
