Comments
Comments: I went straight into the woods from my parking spot, and after a couple minutes hit the old roadbed, which has grown in thick with young sugar maple waist high. I got soaked as it had rained earlier. Anyway it was probably faster than bushwhacking, though I did bushwhack again straight up when the road leveled out. The woods were pretty good for whacking. There is a lot of trash and an abandoned house and camper along the road. The summit cabin was cool, I went inside, but the floor is bad. There was food in the pantry from 2005 and 2013. I found the jar not far away, then returned on the road, though it’s hard to call it a road at this point. There is a sawhorse where the path meets the level path shown on Gaia. Several skid paths seemed to branch off so I didn’t know which one would be best, but it seems to be the one with the sawhorse.
