 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove to 2100’ on the road to the north off Radar Rd. Up to there it’s all fine, but then the deep water bars start. Plenty of room to park at the first water bar. |

I walked the road up to a massive clearcut area, then bushwhacked alongside it to avoid some slash, but it turned out to be not terrible walking in the slash area anyway. I whacked through hobblebush up to the summit, pretty straightforward. Two registers, an ammo case and a jar that had fallen, I rehung it. I went and hit the other bumps, using the marked path when I intercepted it aiming at the lower bump first. The path seems to go down toward the road to the south, I assume. I followed it a ways then turned around to go up the other way. Signs soon directed me to the cabin. The cabin is in good shape and available for rent it says. Amazing view from the deck. I basically retraced my steps back the same way, as I had a decent line on the way there. It was about 2:20 for the 3.6 miles and 1100’ total. Afterwards I hiked Seneca from the gated road to the south. |
