Run/hike up Sawyer. Most of the snow has melted off, with the exception of the trail section beneath the utility lines. The ledges were mostly ice-free, just two spots that required careful footing. The summit is entirely melted off, and views out over the Connecticut River Valley are starting to look like early spring--the farm fields below are mostly snow free now. One of the finest views of the Connecticut River anywhere in New England. Fresh, white trail blazes were new vs my last visit here. Trail is easy to follow now. |
