 | Comments: |
The Battell Trail to Mount Abraham was very, very solid and well-traveled. Snowshoes door-to-door. Across the ridge from Mount Abraham towards Lincoln Peak was a much different story on the trail less traveled. There has been minimal traffic since the last big storm and the surface was more semi-consolidated and soft in spots, evident from deep postholes from prior bare booting tracks. Much warmer through that cut with more full sun exposure. From Lincoln Peak towards Mount Nancy and Mount Ellen has not been broken out - deep powder. The day before it was noted that Mount Ellen had been broken out via the Jerusalem Trail. |
