Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking situation at the gate is not at all clear--there are "no parking, snowplow turnaround" signs on the right side of the road, but I noticed people parking on both sides (presumably because all the plowing had already been done?)

Comments
Comments: Short hike up the snowed in service road at Allis State Park to the firetower at the top of Bear Hill. Followed tracks as far as the seasonal ranger residence, then broke out from there to the tower. Tower is in great shape. Minimal snow/ice on steps. Nice view finder panoramas in the cab. I'd forgotten how expansive a view there is from the top. Passed 2 on skis and 2 in boots on the way down.
