Comments
Comments: Lincoln Gap Rd. starts as pavement, 1/2 way up turns to ice/slush.

The L.T. is mixed bare and ice at first, quite icy past the carpenters (where the trail passes between 2 huge rocks). Packed snow with some ice as you approach the shelter. Supports hiker weight in the center, not post holed much. I carried snowshoes in case things got too soft, but it held today. Up to the summit from Battell packed with significant ice on the steeps, microspiked this after barebooting most of the way (Left them on to the Carpenters going down). More like late April conditions.

Summit temp about 60F at midday. Hazy up & down range visibility, poor east & west. Jetty and I had the mountain to ourselves.
