Comments
Comments: Microspikes on Monroe Trail, then snowshoes everywhere else. The Dean Trail has up to 6" of drifted snow over hard base.

The Long Trail up Mt. Ethan Allen from Wind Gap has a nice ski/snowshoe track most of the way, turns to just snowshoe track at the very top. Ski tracks enter & exit but the L.T. corridor is easily followed to the North Summit (3,680'). 0.1 mi. past, at the South Summit (3,688'), the trail is a single set of faint northbound snowshoe tracks. summit temp 27F @ 1p.m.

On the way down I broke out the Allis Trail, a scenic loop that bypasses Montclair Glen to the Dean Trail. Barebooted down from Monroe Trail jct.- microspikes were clumping on the way up to here.
After the first 5 minutes I saw no one, very peaceful out this way.
