Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few step-over blowdowns maintainers will clear this Spring. Blazing good. Trail well-located, drains in good shape and properly sited. Much of the sidehill east of Bald Top is due for routine redigging: too much outslope for safe walking, but no surprise as this is an old section, and backslope will slump. Even well-kept trails are works in progress.

Comments
Comments: Cross Rivendell Trail, Blood Brook Road to Lake Morey Road section

Cross Rivendell Trail is outstanding for moderate grades on/around steep slopes, lots of sidehilling/revetting, good stable rock steps and drains where needed, good blazing/signage. A very sustainable low-impact trail over a variety of landscapes, fun to hike. The designers and people of the four towns it crosses have fully earned the pride they no doubt feel for doing a good job with their trail.
