| | | | Comments: | No snow at the trailhead, but that changes extremely fast. By about 2,800’, most of the trail was covered in snow. On the ridge between Pico and Killington, I had first boots. It was not deep enough to need snowshoes for—maybe 3”ish? It got a little deeper over towards Killington, maybe 5” in the drifted spots. Others had made an easy path up Bucklin before I got there. I used spikes to descend the top part of Bucklin back to the AT/LT junction but otherwise bare boooted the whole day. As the trails become more compacted, I think spikes will be the weapon of choice. Leave the snowshoes in the car….for now. | | | | | Name: | GoBlue | | | | | E-Mail: | | | | | | Date Submitted: | 2024-11-23 | | | | | Link: | https:// | | | | Disclaimer: Reports are not verified - conditions may vary.
