 | Comments: |
Jerusalem trail has a good snowshoe track up to the L.T. Some water ice right as you crest the ridge, then a slightly less consolidated footway heading south on the Long Trail.
Faint tracks on the L.T. northbound, possibly only headed to the nearby Glen Ellen cabin. Some ski tracks and postholes from folks outbound from Sugarbush North to "raid the pow-pow", more as you get closer to Mt. Ellen where they can confuse the correct path somewhat. Lots of snow on the ridge. Used snowshoes all day.
Saw no other hikers on this excellent trail 'til the bottom where I met 2 casual afternoon snowshoers. Temps around 10F up high midday, winds were rising after morning. Great visibility to the Adirondacks, Whites, and up range today. |
