At the 1st water crossing there's been a lot of flood erosion which seems to have taken down some of the blazed trees marking the trail (1/2 mile from start). The trail was not apparent once I crossed on to the south side of the stream. I paralleled the stream for 1/2 a mile and then noticed the trail had moved back to the North side.
After crossing the stream again and picking the trail back up, there were no further problems. I bare booted it to 3,000 feet then micro-spiked it to the top. 1-2 inches of frozen snow on ice on the way up with another 2" of powder over that at the top. |
