Comments
Comments: Foggy Day Hike to Taylor Lodge from the Lake Mansfield Trout Club in Moscow VT. Thin coating of snow over dirt & rocks at first, then hidden ice as you start to climb to Nebraska Notch. Trekking poles were enough to give that extra security. Warmer temps and maybe rain tomorrow could melt some of this, but it could also re-freeze. I carried microspikes- at this point, it's best to have them along regardless.

Uninspiring weather made me choose this hike rather than a peak, and the views of mist-shrouded cliffs over beaver ponds did not disappoint. Nice little bushwack to the notch high point with hidden view west. Taylor Lodge is in great shape. Saw no sign of other hikers.
