Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking at lot off Beach Road currently but usually they open gate off Rte 12 for upper lot access during deer season which goes from 11-12 to 11-27 I believe. Were maintaining outhouse in upper lot on Saturday.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Few blowdowns that have around for a while; nothing significantly rerouted around. Cleared a waterbar and a slot in ledges which stopped water flow down in a tricky spot in the tower section.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: As ckeller stated in Sept. there is bear activity; probably not an issue when trails are busy. Another local told me he has seen more bears than usual this year on south end of Catamount Tr. down lower.
Bugs
Bugs: Have been out with warmer weather but no biters.

Comments
Comments: Another great view day today. Trails wet with lots of leaf cover. Must have showered fairly hard last night because road section got beat up a bit. Quiet, week day morning. Ridge Tr. easily followed this weekend despite leaf coverage (a concern with a few hikers I talked to).
