first stream was rock hoppable, second has a nice bridge |

Green Mountain Club crew was building walkways across the worst muddy sections, using fallen timber they cut up with crosscut saws |

saw one owned by a Maine hiker working on the 3000 Footers, known as "the Mayor of (I forget the rest) - some place in Maine" |

none, wind kept them down |

Breadloaf summit is slightly north of the cleared spot on the side trail off the LT, marked with a small cairn. Small viewpoint looking west if you continue on this side trail.Wilson summit was confirmed only by checking with an altimeter, just before the LT starts descending. |
