Comments
Comments: I’ve been on sections of the Cliff trail before but not all of it and never end to end. So this morning before the rain I took Haselton up to the Toll Road above the Octagon, road walked for 1/4 mile to the Amherst trail and got on the Cliff trail heading north. I took the Cliff trail all the way through Wall Street (cool deep slot rock formation), behind the Gondola and up to the ridge. Standard LT to the Chin from there. The Cliff trail as a whole is about 1 mile of interesting scrambles, ladders, slabs, caves, 1 VERY tight squeeze and a steep/interesting climb up to the ridge. It was extremely wet but not raining this morning so the rock was slippery and the going was slow. After hitting the summit, I took the cliff trail back to the Gondola and back to my car in 10min right as the rain started. Very successful morning.
