Hiking Trail Conditions Report
Peaks
Peaks Camel's Hump, VT
Trails
Trails: Monroe Trail, Dean Trail, Long Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Thursday, July 14, 2011
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Must park in winter lot(Camel's Hump View Trail Lot) because upper section of Camel's Hump Road still washed out. Two sizeable lots here. Adds about 4/10's of a mile each way to hike. Caretaker said nothing had been done to it in quite some time. Taking into account the amount of damage (3'-5' deep washouts for a good stretch) and its priority on the road repairs list; I wouldn't be surprised if it was quite some time before it's repaired.

Comments
Comments: Trails in great shape and more trail work upcoming. A real nice loop from the Duxbury side. Fairly dry; making for nice walking. If you like open hiking put the Long Trail (south of Camel's Hump) into your days loop with either this loop or the Forest City-Burrows Loop.
