Thanks to three GMC volunteers working eight-person days the high ridge is great. Still needs work south of / below the Haystack Peak spur, as the summer hiking trail has plenty of overhanging snow-laden branches. |

Haystack ski area, Mt Snow ski area
Bare boots or MicroSpikes to the spur for Haystack Peak, then skied to Mt Snow, then down it. Bless the two Slavic women snowshoeing ahead of us, who packed the trail even better.
I needed skins twice, but my buddy climbed fine on his new Madshus XC skis. |
