Hiking Trail Conditions Report

Trails
Trails: Monroe Trail, Long Trail, Alpine Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 2, 2011
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Summer lot is inaccessible, as access road was washed out this spring (washouts as deep as 4 feet). Excavator was up there working today, but is only a hundred or so yards up - looks like it'll take quite an effort to get the road repaired. As such, the winter lot was full at 9:30 and people were parking down the road. About a half mile walk from the winter lot to the Monroe Trail trailhead.

Comments
Comments: Trails were wet from recent rain and a lack of sun breaking through the clouds. Monroe Trail was extremely busy. Ledges on the Long Trail were wet, but doable with caution. Plenty of minor mud, but nothing particularly deep.
