Comments
Comments: Fairy tale finish for Liz and me. We started early from Jay Pass and enjoyed an under-cast view at 7:15 from Jay Peak's summit we didn't linger because we were hoping to get as far as we could before the forecast of rain arrived. We had no view from Doll Peak, lookout is grown in and it was cloudy anyway. We took a good long break at the Shooting Star Shelter and a couple passed us by totally disappointed that there was no water. We had crossed paths with a Sobo earlier and he was hoping there would be water at Woodward. We marched on and we were surprised to see that rte 105 crossing is under construction to make it wide. We arrived at the Canada border and the couple that had passed us were there too. They did 20 continuous days and we did 20 days of section hiking! We couldn't believe that the rain had held off and we appreciated that the trail was still dry and mostly mud free. They elected to wait at the Journey's End Camp and I gave them my water and Kit Kat bar. When Liz and I arrived at her car we thru our gear in and climbed in and the sky let loose and the rain hit hard. Whoohoo End to Enders!
