| Comments: |
Monroe Trail is packed solid to jct. w/ Dean trail @ 1.3mi. I snowshoed from here but much barebooting has been happening. I thought the sticky few inches on top made snowshoes better. Dean Trail is broken for snowshoes only. Alpine trail is unbroken and drifted w/ significant snow encrusted spruce/fir. Spectacular day w/only a few hikers on the Monroe side. Burrows trail from the west had more people, many sledding! Presi's, Franconias & Adirondacks in the clear w/ light winds, 25F @ noon on the summit. Definitely springlike. |
