Duck-unders are now walk-overs from new accumulation. |

Still too loose for them. A Bernese & Samoyed pair were helping their masters post-hole the lower trail- best wait 'til things consolidate. |

Heavy black glove in lot.Hung it at trail entrance. |

Trail is broken but not packed after recent 2 foot snowfall. Moderate post-holing to the waterfall crossing, which is solidly bridged. Above here, primo snowshoeing to the top. White Rock Mtn. trail NOT broken out yet. Ridge heading north is wild country with intermittent traces of the summer trail. Once the dogs & co. turned back there was only solitude and this spectacular mountain - Mount Hunger(3,539')always satisfies! |
