The trail is broken out all the way to the top. Ski tracks in the shelter area cross the broken trail, but it is easy to follow. There were some postholes from whoever last hiked it, wearing just microspikes, but my snowshoes packed most of the holes down. The last .2 miles pretty much require sliding down, versus walking. Brought hiking crampons, but they wouldn't have been of much use there with the amount of snow covering the ice. |
