Comments
Comments: A few clouds cleared to blue sky. New powder from ~4" at trailhead to 8-16" higher with drifts-now broken by 3 sets snowshoes, and sledders. Note ice and shallow wind-packed snow above tree line-->summit is easily managed with snowshoes.
Kestrel data: T= minus 13F W=gusts to 36MPH WC= minus 48 with gusts. [NWS forecast right-on!] We lasted 10-15 minutes, but photos had to be quick as 1-2 shots until battery and fingers needed rewarming.
Always SO beautiful; hate to leave summits.
What change with warm temps soon?
