Comments
Comments: There was a consistent 4" of powder. The trail had some fairly icy spots. We took ski trails up to the LT, which proved to be a quick way up to Bolton. We then headed out and back to Mayo. The highpoint is recognized. Once back on Bolton we bushwhacked in mostly open woods down to the saddle with the west peak. Cliffs made for a trick accent. We favored the north and picked spots to scramble up. The woods going up the peak were thicker. There were some cut paths and interesting features that were likely associated with the nearby military facility. The highpoint is recognized. We retraced our steps out.
