Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I drove Mad Tom Road past the LT crossing and to forest road 58, which is open to the Griffith Lake trail parking. Snow is beginning to accumulate on the road. Not sure when the gate closes for winter.

Comments
Comments: I bushwhacked right from the gate. Snow was shallow and powdery and ground coverage was complete. The bushwhack was initially downhill in leafless low growth. Then it was steep and open to the ridge and up to the recognized summit. There was enough snow to follow my tracks to navigate back.
