Went up to watch the fireworks. Took Cliff Trail which was its usual self: steep, some technical spots for climbing up, over and around plus a few gaps to step over. Trail to summit all ledges with string marking the boundaries to protect revegetation areas. Views of Lake Champlain and surrounding area a little hazy due to humidity. Picked up Amherst trail on way to toll road; clean and narrow but easy. Had dinner, read books and added extra clothing at the Quad chair. Fireworks from a bunch of towns were like watching a Pacman screen! Walk down toll road after dark no problem with our high powered head lamp! Awesome fourth! |
