Comments: Very obviously a splendid day--blue sky, sunshine, clear views everywhere except some haze over Lake Champlain, none to east
Kestrel data @ summit: T=28F W=12mph WC=12F
Trail from state park well packed; same through woods and above tree line in AM; snow became sticky in PM with hot sun.
Snowshoes vehicle of the day; barebooters managed postholes 1'-3'
Trail note: when approaching ledges below Thunderbolt Gap,STAY RIGHT (south)on ss tracks for true trail-easiest! and avoids damage to krummholz
