Used the Green Mt. Club's Day Hiker's Guide to VT, Trips Beyond the Long Trail, a very useful book...easy to find trailhead just by following the directions in the book..would save this for a beauty of a day, and later in the day, as there is an extensive view from Nash Stream mts. (maybe a few 4ks in Maine too)all the way down to Moosilauke, around to Camel's Hump, Mansfield, Jay Peak, etc and Canada too..footbed is a welcome respite from rocky trail, though there's a few spots of course...and some VT mud too!!Warden's Cabin appears to be popular with hikers signing the walls.... |
