Trails
Trails: Stowe Pinnacle Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, June 20, 2016
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: First car there at 7am. Smaller lot and this is a popular hike so it's a good idea to get there early, especially on weekend. Today only 4 cars in lot total when we got back.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only one or two very minor water crossings today. The dogs would have loved more water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Very well maintained and traveled trail. Looks like some work is going to be done on the wooden boardwalks at the very beginning of the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hiked with my two pups. "Grublet" loves the rocky sections close to the summit... never an issue. "Slow 'n' Steady" is 12 years old and he did awesome! This hike is not one for an older dog who has never hiked before though since there is that steeper section near the summit.
Bugs
Bugs: Very few today. Yay!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: What an awesome way to kick-off Summer! The view from the summit was amazing. Nice cooler breeze too. Quiet trail this morning. Love this hike!
