A few major blowdowns- one of them was a duck under, one of them had a herd path around it, and the last/biggest one was more tricky to bypass. |

Excellent trail for dogs! Easy to moderate grades with plenty of places to cool off and take a drink. |

This was my first time visiting Lye Brook Falls, and I wasn't disappointed one bit! It's a little smaller than Arethusa Falls at 125 feet, but IMHO it was better. Dunno how it is after spring melt, though- we came after several good rains. The area around the falls was quite wet, and usually is from what I read online, so use caution if exploring around the falls. The hike was a leisurely 4.6 miles roundtrip with 900 feet of elevation gain.
Thanks to Alyssa V. for a great hike! |
