Hiking Trail Conditions Report

Peaks Worcester Mountain, VT
Trails
Trails: Worcester Mountain Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, September 4, 2010
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I've never seen lack of room here. Hancock Brook Rd. approach is one lane in some sections so be prepared to back up on a yield if meeting another vehicle. Minister Brook Rd. approach much better.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All are dry or very minor right now
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Only one wet section on trail. Tried tinkering with the waterbar but problem more complicated lying somewhere above on the bank. Thanks to the trailmaintainers here for the excellent job they have done.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Water available throughout hike. Willie and Mia (pug and shitzu) have done it, so easy for most dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: Surprised to not find any but was fairly breezy.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful little trail. Top could be hard following trail if socked in because lots of quartz in ledges and faint blue blazing. Always a quiet destination (only 10 hikers met today--most I've seen there) but not bad considering day.
