From Eagles Cut to near the Sunset ridgeline, the trail was hard packed snow with occasional ice. Perfect for microspikes. Once on Sunset Ridge there was dry rock and some black ice, I considered taking off my traction (Hillsound Pro's), but kept them on. I turned around near the false chin. The trail was covered in shiny hard ice flows covered the trail as far a the eye could see. I may of been able to inch myself up, but the thought of going down scared the heck out of me, thus turned around. |
