Comments
Comments: Saw the ledgy south peak crag from Route 30 and had to check it out.
While the trails were dry, leaf cover was about as slippery as I've ever encountered (lots of oak?). Ascent and descent was more slippery than it would have been if covered in ice.
White Trail starts as part of a snowmobile trail, then splits off left. Soon thereafter, the Yellow Trail splits off to the right and scrambles up to the ledgy south peak. Some fun mild scrambles and lots of good views. Followed an unmarked snowmobile trail from the south peak to the summit, which had a directional view just off the snowmobile trail.
For the descent, I took the White Trail which, while not overly steep, was still treacherous from the extremely slippery leaves.
