Comments: Bald Mountain trail (from Long Pond)

A perfect fall day to hike in the Northeast Kingdom. The fire tower atop Bald Mt affords a fine 360 degree view from the Whites to the Greens and well into Canada. The trail is muddy at the upper reaches but not terribly so. Foliage was still pretty green, but in the next week the color should be bursting.
