Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I was the only car at the trailhead on Old Turnpike Road. Apparently the trailhead has been relocated about about .4 miles up the road.  
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only two crossings of note but done easily but could be a problem in high water.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is nicely maintained. No significant issues. Trail is well blazed.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of water, great dog hike. 
Bugs
Bugs: No problem on the trails but I was chased off the summit by black flies. Once I stood still they zeroed in on me.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I found nothing I lost nothing.

Comments: A nice easy hike with a great view of Rutland and the Otter Valley.
