 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Elmore State Park opened Friday. Large lot at trailhead and larger one at beach (adds 3/4's mile each way). When upper lot fills (like today) cars use the side of the road leading up to lot with no issues. Porta-potties installed at upper lot this year for convenience. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
2 crossings on trails both bridged. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lots of spring work evident; jobs well done. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Usually a wide range of breeds up here on a busy day. I believe park has leash rule as it seems most are leashed on the busy weekends. Good idea to carry water for them as water scarce on top. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Black flies were out in force a week ago; but with colder temps are absent once again. I'll enjoy while I can. |

 | Comments: |
Dry trails with just a few wet, muddy spots. No snow seen. Park has day, season and other fee options for entrance. Nice little mountain with well maintained trails if in the area (45 minutes from Mt. Mansfield). |
