excellent--just a couple leaners, but no obstacles. above 3000', hemlock branches are at face level due to three feet of packed snow underfoot |

very good for dogs, including less experienced, since the trail is so wide and well packed.

although the day clouded over and a rare snowflake appeared, thus obscuring any distant views by mid-afternoon, the day (as always) was a fine one due to much snow on conifer branches above 3K'. trail is wide and packed, which allows any footgear, but we did snowshoes car-car for the excellent traction. several happy people, one grumpy guy.
