 | Comments: |
Bottom of trail compacted with a few inches of fresh snow.
As you climb snow becomes drifted especially on the Long trail upto Abe.
Past Abraham summit toward Lincoln trail is unbroken wtih drifts of upto 3'+.
Route finding becomes difficult along the ridge as the snow base puts you up in the branches of the trees along the trail and drifts get to be very deep. Broke trail to Lincoln and turned around, I was not getting to Ellen on a solo trip. A large group summited Abe as I was heading down. I used snowshoes car to car |
