Comments
Comments: Snowshoes on the way up until W Chin jct, then microspikes the rest of the way to the Chin and all the way down. Approx 4 inches snow at parking lot, 5-7 inches up high with windblown deeper drifts and bare or ice-covered rock on the ridge. Crampons never needed and snowshoes not necessary, but light traction recommended. Good day to be out, sunny and clear with a temperature inversion. 10 below at the start (when it was 8 above at the summit). No wind to start, but higher winds than predicted on the ridge. Trail generally easy to follow with blue blazes and cairns.
