Comments
Comments: It was a fairly easy hike up Camel's Hump today, but would have been a challenge without traction. Conditions were perfect for Microspikes. Ice started on Monroe at around 2900 feet and became significant in spots at 3100 feet and up. Some ice bulges formed above the Alpine Trail junction. It wasn't quite as icy on the summit push on the Long Trail - nice surprise. Temps were moderate and winds were only about 20 mph on the summit. Views were spectacular. Only Mansfield and the Presis were in the clouds. Lots of company on the trail.
