Comments
Comments: A great day hiking in Vermont under clear skies and temps at the summits in the high 50's. Foliage was past peak but still impressive. Trails were pretty well dry except for a few sporadic wet spots on trail prior to the Shelter, a bit of running water on the trail after the shelter but not enough to worry about; there were a number of patches of mud between Abraham and Lincoln Peak but one can simply walk through them. Distant views to NY and NH from the summits. Lincoln Peak is worth a visit as it gives views to the northeast blocked by trees on Abraham. Trees obscure most views from the platform on Lincoln Peak, but good views are available from an open area just above the chairlift. Many people out enjoying the summits today.
