 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
3 small lots adequate for usage this area gets along Hogback Road. Large lot on Rte 15 probably only used for short walk in woods lately because of high river levels ending ones day before reaching suspension bridge. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
No crossings from Hogback Road to Prospect Rock. The secondary channel of the Lamoille River (south of suspension bridge) was flowing high and rapidly. If it were in my plans I would have changed plans. Highwater route is mapped at Route 15 parking and at suspension bridge advising hikers to walk Rte 15 and Hogback Road which was the Long Trail route prior to the suspension bridge being in place. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Couple of blowdowns causing footpaths around. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cliffs with substantial drop at top. |
 | Bugs: |
None today! |

Prospect Rock in Johnson, Vermont
Short (20 minute climb) from Hogback Road. Trail dry except for 10 foot section right at start. Path between suspension bridge and secondary channel barely noticeable. Possibly not used much lately and under water during higher water days by looks of driftwood present. |
