Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Couple of trees had come down across road to upper parking lot. I let Agnes know and she was sending couple staffers up to take care of it. Glad I was parked in the lower beach lot. 3$ State Park entry fee.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Brook running high but unless off trail there aren't crossings.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: New signage may cause confusion to newcomers. Too long of a story to print here. There is not a book out there right now that has trail names and trails with current accurate information.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dog friendly trails. Leash rule; but usually all are fine with unleashed well behaving dogs. Too much water for drink today.
Bugs
Bugs: Hasn't been bad yet this year.

Comments
Comments: Lots of recent trail work. Waterbar drainage greatly improved. Lots of new lumber in the tower making for a solid and safe tower once again. We helped with some hauling on Monday and thanks once again to Alex and crew for all their hard work keeping this a fine trail. VYCC is scheduled for a week of work on new trail later this summer. Trail very wet and slippery with running stream in tower section of trail. Enough rain; more sun!!
