Left the trail head at 7:15 a.m. and it was 32 degrees. Beautiful day and when the sun came up it was incredibly bright in the woods. Was trying to track down a Wood Pecker but could not find him. I got close. This place is always a great snow shoe/cross country ski area when there is a lot of snow. It took me 3:15 to do the whole hike. It was 8 miles because I extended it a bit by doing some double backs between the Yellow and Blue Trails. |
