| Comments: |
Barebooted to Gem pool. Used crampons to hut. One person used microspikes. Considerable ice near Lakes hut. One difficult snow ledge to get over on Ammo trail. No wind until hut area. Encountered 25-35 mph wind climbing Monroe. Frozen snow and ice with protruding rocks. Dropped packs at Lakes hut and hiked up to summit and back in 30 minutes. Started at 9am and finished at 2pm. 4.8 miles rt. |
