Comments
Comments: Our group was hoisting the flag on North Twin for Flags on the 48 (www.flagsonthe48.org). Left the parking lot at 7:45 and submitted around 11:30. Had to strap the flagpole to a tree at the "summit" area (where the carin is, true summit is along the spur path to the labeled view) due to very high winds (mid-upper 50s gusts on the open ledges). Flew that until 2PM, during the gap most of our group went over to South Twin, arriving about the time the Blackhawk Hellicoptor came by taking pictures of the flags. Overcast day, but we were below the clouds on both summits (limited visibility of other peaks though we could see Mt. Bond's flag from S. Twin). First step onto the parking lot turned the light sprinkle of rain into a heavy downpour, perfectly timed!

It was great to be able to participate in this terrific event this year, mark the date Sept. 14, 2013 on your calendars for next year's!
